ADD/HD
ADD/HD, Dyslexia and Learning Disabilities have been linked to Cerebello-Vestibular Dysfunction by Levinson et al. These findings have the potential to change the standard approach to treatment and diagnosis of these conditions.

Discovertreatments.com utilizes Video Electronystagmograhy to assess Cerebello-vestibular function. This non-invasive diagnostic test gives our doctors information necessary to formulate an effective treatment plan for children and Adults diagnosed with Learning disabilities and Attention Deficits.

Treatments may include cerebello-vestibular rehabilitation, chiropractic adjustments, brain based treatments (hemifield stimulation, olfactory stimulations, eye movement exercises), Interactive Metronome and other physical therapies.

The Test of Variable Attention or T.O.V.A. is another tool utilized to diagnose ADD/HD and Behavioral Problems. Our Facilities offer The T.O.V.A, a 21 minute diagnostic computer game which has been shown to accurately diagnose both children and Adults. (SEE T.O.V.A)

A double-blind, placebo controlled study of 9 to 12 years old boys diagnosed with ADHD, found those undergoing the Interactive Metronome training program showed significant patterns of improvement in attention, coordination, control of aggression/impulsivity, reading and language processing. This study was published in The March/April 2001 issue of the American Journal of Occupational Therapy. (SEE Interactive Metronome)

Drs. Lamantia, Brostowin and Resnick all have advanced training in the diagnosis and treatment of ADHD, Learning Disabilities and behavioral Disorders.

The diagnostic value of cerebellar-vestibular tests in detecting learning disabilities, dyslexia, and attention deficit disorder. Percept Mot Skills, 71, 67-82. Levinson, H. N. (1990).
